Shane got the rules wrong on hookers
IF COLUMNISTS have to slate referees about law issues, is there any chance they can check they're right in law first?
Shane Williams blames officials for not policing something which he then explains incorrectly.
A hooker with any part of their foot on the line, is out of the field of play – just as they would be if they had ball-in-hand running to score a try.
They don't have to have both feet beyond the line to be in touch – the line makes them ‘out of the field of play'. Same applies when throwing in the ball.
