ITALY stunned Scotland with a six-try demolition job at Arms Park to keep Sean Lineen's team winless.

Scotland's poor reached new lows as winger Flavio Vaccari and full-back Lorenzo Pani scored in the first 15 minutes to put their opponents on the back foot.

Vaccari displayed lightning pace to cap a length-of-the-field score, while Pani doubled the lead to dot down Simone Gesi's grubber kick through following a fend from centre Tommaso Menoncello.

The sides exchanged penalties before Scottish full-back Elliot Gourlay kicked out on the full to gift the Italians promising field position.

Italy won a penalty which Marin kicked to the corner and a strong maul set the platform for tighthead prop Ion Neculai to burrow over from close range a few phases later to put his side 20-3 ahead.

More good work from the Italian back row – spearheaded by skipper Luca Andreani on the – gave Marin another straightforward shot at goal which he duly slotted to earn his side a 20- point cushion at half-time.

The bonus point was soon secured upon the restart as Vaccari broke clear down the left wing to send Andreani away.

Totally rampant, Italy added two more tries through scrum-half Manfredi Albanese and prop Mirco Spagnolo.

Scotland did not send a representative for their post-match TV interview, and now they attempt to salvage some pride in their remaining matches.
