Referees are not free from criticism

In a country in which we are lucky to have freedom of opinion and speech as a birthright, Wayne Barnes is entitled to his say.
I admire what Barnes achieved as a referee in a world record 111 international matches, however, when it comes to him holding forth about the current push for an SGM to clear out RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney and his cabal, his castigation of the Rugby Football Referees Union comes with an important caveat.
