OTLEY trounced Fylde, securing the highest ever score between the two sides.

After an early penalty attempt went wide, Otley pummelled Fylde's defence which ended when Ben Waddington went over.

Fylde then took the game to Otley, with Tye Raymont touching down. Five minutes later Waddington set up Clark Wells on the left, and then on the half hour Eddie Crossland weaved his way from Fylde's 10-metre line to score, Rowntree getting his third conversion.

Two minutes into the second half, Fylde were penalised with Rowntree's kick sailing through the posts. Still under pressure, Fylde knocked-on in their 22, and after the scrum Crossland's pass Wells grabbed his second.

A penalty after the restart set up an attacking position for Fylde, Freddie Deeks scoring in the corner, which was converted by Greg Smith. Two minutes later Gavin Stead added a penalty for Otley.

George Bowen burst through Fylde's line before passing to Stead who converted his own try, before Otley stretched the Fylde defence for Louis Martin to score.

Fylde got a losing bonus point when hooker Ben Gregory scored two tries at the death.
