Saints look to Gonzalez

Blindside sources understand that the price tag for them signing on again with the Sharks could be at the higher end of six figures, but Tom, in particular, has seen his stock rise season on season.

NORTHAMPTON Saints have had a meeting with Saracens back row Juan Martin Gonzalez, right, about moving to Franklin's Gardens when his contract runs out this summer.

Gonzalez, 23, joined the Premiership champions after helping Argentina to finish fourth in the World Cup and has scored four tries in eight games since moving to north London.

He moved to London Irish in November 2021 after starting his career in the Super Liga Americana de Rugby for the Jaguares XV but was left looking for a new club when the Exiles went out of business at the end of last season.
