Lewis Ludlam insists England are not behind the eight-ball heading into the World Cup despite facing a race to get up to speed for France 2023.
Steve Borthwick’s support team will barely have had time to bed in before the tournament with the head coach himself only taking the job in December. Kevin Sinfield has been on board since then but other assistants Richard Wigglesworth, Tom Harrison and Aled Walters only joined up in June, leaving them needing to make a short-term impact.
