Wallaby Simmons says au revoir to Irish Exiles

LONDON Irish lock Rob Simmons will join Clermont Auvergne on a two-year deal as the exodus of top-line players from English rugby continues.

Simmons, 33, who has 106 caps for Australia, joined London

Irish in 2020 after a successful stint with the Waratahs in Super Rugby.

“Although I have loved every second of my time here, this opportunity was one that myself and my family could not pass up,” Simmons said.
