ON the last day of the season, Nathan Taylor – ‘the best goal hanger the league has ever seen’ – pipped Benjamin Brownlie to the top try scorer award in National 1.
The Cinderford hooker secured the award with a brace in last week’s 32-32 draw with Leeds Tykes and Taylor was ecstatic to take the try scoring title from his fellow No.2 Brownlie.
“I loved it! It was a bit of a mix and match side that we had out in the end, but the boys did well to come away from the game with three points,” Taylor told The Rugby Paper.
