WASPS head coach Lee Blackett says Brad Shields is a role model at the club and can help them finish with a flourish after a stop-start campaign.
Shields, Tom Willis, Thomas Young and Ben Morris have all hit form in recent weeks with Jack Willis on the sidelines after his horror injury.
Flanker Shields, who won five England caps from 2018 to 2019, has captained the side in the absence of Joe Launchbury, whose knee injury was another hammer blow to the club.
