EXETER head coach Ali Hepher hailed his side’s capacity to handle highpressure after another victory at Ashton Gate.
“It wasn’t flash but it was efficient,” he said. “This is a tough league and we knew we needed to get some wins post the Six Nations break.
“This is when the guys step up, they are used to these pressure games and thrive in them.”
Bristol DoR Pat Lam said parts of his team’s game had failed to function in the teeth of Exeter’s ferocity.
