England Saxons to face Irish Wolfhounds at Kingsholm

Saxons will face the O2 Wolfhounds at Kingsholm on Saturday, January 25 it was announced today..
The match will be live on Sky Sports as the Saxons renew their rivalry with the side they beat 14-10 in Galway last season.
The team then travels to to take on A on Friday, January 31.
In November, Kingsholm will also be the stage for the battle of the cherries as Japan face Gloucester on November 12.
's a great stage for what's going to be a big game between the Saxons and the Ireland Wolfhounds,” said Joe Lydon, Head of Elite Player Development.
“There are lots of high-quality players in the England system and they'll be out to put down a marker on the eve of the RBS 6 Nations at the start of a big year for England at every level.
“We get great support in the West Country and we'll need that backing against Ireland as the contests between the two teams are always tight.”
The Saxons last appearance at Kingsholm was in the 2011 Churchill Cup when Gloucester's Billy Twelvetrees was a try-scorer in the 41-11 win against Tonga.
Gloucester Rugby CEO, Stephen Vaughan confirmed: “We're delighted to welcome England Saxons back to Kingsholm for the first time since the Churchill Cup in 2011. We have enjoyed a strong relationship with England Rugby for some time now, having staged both U20s and Saxons matches.
“The Gloucester public love to come and watch international rugby played at Kingsholm. We've hosted a number of international teams over the past few seasons, and they always come out in force to watch. Hopefully, there will also be a few Gloucester players in the squad for them to get behind.
“It should be a great evening under the Kingsholm floodlights, and we're all really looking forward to it.”
