Charlie Ewels could be on the move at the end of the season after having a meeting with Sale Sharks about a switch to the north-west this summer.

England international Ewels, 28, who had a stint with the Blue Bulls until the end of the Currie Cup, has emerged as a leading target for Alex Sanderson, who wants to add a starting lock to his side.

Bournemouth-born Ewels, who has been capped 31 times by England, has made 151 appearances for Bath, where he has been playing since joining their academy in 2009, making his first-team debut five years later.
