England back row Jack Willis admits that he would never have left Wasps if they hadn’t become one of three Premiership clubs to have been liquidated last season.
The elder of two rugby-playing brothers ended a season from hell by helping Toulouse beat La Rochelle 29-26 to win a thrilling Top 14 final in Paris last weekend.
Three years ago, he helped Wasps reach a Premiership Final, winning the Players’ Player of the Year and the Premiership Player of the Season awards.
