Paul Gustard is set to slam the door shut on any immediate return to the Premiership by putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Stade Francais.
The former Harlequins boss moved to the French capital at the start of the season after spending a season coaching Benetton Rugby in Italy following his departure from Quins.
The 47-year-old has been linked with a return to the North East and a job with his hometown club Newcastle Falcons but is in advanced talks with Stade over a new deal.
