Former and scrum-half Francois Hougaard is set to turn down the chance of a lucrative move to to stay in the UK.

The former Springbok has been a free agent since Wasps went out of business and received offers from clubs in Japan but is keen to complete his qualifying period for a British passport.

Hougaard, who will be 35 next April, joined the Warriors in 2016 and joined Wasps at the start of last season and is still looking for a new club.
