EDDIE Jones and his coaching team cannot pick players who play outside the Premiership, but that didn’t stop them from travelling to France this weekend.
Together with Richard Cockerill, Martin Gleeson and Matt Proudfoot, Jones jetted out to the South of France on Thursday and told fellow travellers they were attending a conference in Marseille. They took in Friday night’s European Challenge Cup Final where Jones would have paid special attention to Joel Kpoku, who left Saracens for Lyon earlier this season.
