Topsy Ojo left feeling frustrated by London Irish near-misses

Topsy Ojo would have been happy to just be within touching distance at half-time against the top teams last season – but  12 months on, Topsy Ojo says the Exiles are frustrated they managed to pick up only losing bonus points against and .
It took a last-gasp try from David Strettle to clinch it for Saracens in round three, while the champions Northampton struggled to pull away and just held on to a 19-12 win in round five.
Although Ojo is satisfied with the improvement since last season, the winger is adamant the Exiles have to win these tight games if they are to challenge for a top six finish.
“It's a positive to have picked up the losing bonus-point against these teams but in reality we could have won both,” he told TRP.
“We should have beaten Saracens when we were leading until the final play. We weren't far off Saints too and we didn't play that well so that's pretty frustrating.
“We're in a much better position than last year. That's pleasing, but we need to find a way of making the next step – we want to win these games.
Ojo added: “You need all the points you can get in this league and we don't want to be looking back to these two games at the end – they could be the difference between eighth in the league and sixth.
“We've got to pick up some momentum in the next few weeks. By Christmas, we'll know whether we'll be chasing top four, European qualification or staying in the third tier of the table.”
