Ashton shows he’s class act

CHRIS Ashton, derided by many as more a show-off than a showman, ought to have won a host of admirers over the way he conducted himself at Thomond Park last week, on and off the pitch.
Toulon’s English émigré had every reason to feel hard done by at being denied a penalty try in the first minute of the monumental Munster tie but chose not to make a song and dance about it. He also played a blinder at 15, in defence as much as attack.
