After 38 years in the top tier of women's rugby, Wasps bowed out with a loss to .

Tries came from Reneeqa Bonner, Liz Musgrove, Tilly Vaughan-Fowler, Grace White and Cris Blanco as well as a hat-trick for Lark Davies followed by scores from Tilly Smale, Claire Molloy, and Makeda Lewis.

Wasps dominated the early possession, however a loose pass in their backline was scooped up by Bonner who cantered in down the wing for the opening score.

Wasps responded and Musgrove crossed the line for the hosts' first score.

This resulted in a line break from Musgrove and a simple offload to Vaughan-Fowler gave Wasps an early lead.

Bristol hit back through White but a try via Blanco from short range gave Wasps the lead at the break.

The visitors were quick to bring on replacements and Davies made an instant impact.

The prop scored a hattrick within 15 minutes, part of 31 consecutive points in the second half.

Wasps ended the match on a high as Lewis scored out wide to bring down the curtain on professional rugby at the famous club, while Bristol secured a place in next week's semi-finals.
