LOUGHBOROUGH Lightning edged out title contenders Harlequins to take the lead of the chasing pack behind Saracens.
Victory was assured four minutes from time by the ever-reliable lineoutmaul that has paved the way for Lark Davies to ascend to the top of the Premier 15s try-scoring charts.
The Lightning hooker’s throw to the middle of the line claimed by Anya Richmond set the driving maul from which Davies was able to score to rescue the points haul the visitors’ way.
