Harlequins' first-half dominance saw them coast to a convincing victory over competition newcomers .

Harlequins are competing with Leicester and Trailfinders in a round robin for seventh spot.

The away side had to weather early Leicester pressure, but it was Harlequins who opened the scoring as Jade Mullen crossed after some neat offloading.

Mullen was also at the heart of the second try. The full-back sliced through the Tigers defence to create a two-on-one and put Amy Layzell in to score.

They didn't have to wait long for the third, as Izzy Mayhew went over out wide after clever work from Flo Robinson and Rachel Burford.

With the clock winding down, Quins added another try as Emily Robinson finished off a powerful set of pick-and-goes.

Leicester made a bright start to the second-half as Claire Gallagher scored their first of the game.

Her effort was swiftly followed by Tess Feury crossing out wide for the second after wrong-footing her opposite number.

Harlequins needed to stem the growing Leicester storm, and they did just that as Aseza Hele powered through a hole in the Leicester line to score.

Leicester responded straight away though, as Tahlia Brody dotted down from the base of a maul to round off the scoring.
