Since returning to to play for , Matt Kvesic has once again stepped out of his comfort zone by returning to Warriors as a forward coach for the women's side.

“This is a massive learning curve for me, I have a lot of fond memories at Sixways,” said Kvesic who embarked on a short stint in with last season after Worcester men folded.

“The women's team have been through it like the men's team and they have come through the other side and had an excellent year. Hopefully I can help them and push them for better things – I'm really enjoying it.”

Kvesic, 31, says he has grown from the experience of the last 12 months and wishes he had gone abroad sooner.

“I kind of had to pack my bags and say ‘I'll see you in seven months',” the former England openside said. “My little man is at nursery and my wife has work, so I kind of had to pack my bags and go.

“It is something that players should do. I wish I started sooner, I really enjoyed it. I met some great people and made friends for life. I was over there on my own for months and I spent a lot of time with the boys.

“I was lucky to play in the United Rugby and it was a really enjoyable league to play in. I played the back end and I would recommend any young or upand-coming player to experience that, whether it be in Italy, or anywhere.”

The Parma-based side failed to win a game in the URC or whilst Kvesic featured but he has already had more success at Coventry, shocking in the opening game of the Cup, and drawing 21-21 with Quins.

Kvesic said: “The Cup is a great opportunity for the Championship clubs. We aren't silly, we know the Premiership teams are missing some players but they have experienced players who are playing the games. It is a great way to prepare for the Championship season.”
