UNBEATEN Admiral Championship West leaders Narberth are now assured of a promotion spot after they ran riot 67-7 at Ystalyfera to make it 17 wins from 17.

Scrum-half Lewys Gibby and wing Rhys Harris each themselves to four tries apiece with centre Ilan Phillips at the double. Right wing Dean James was also on the scoresheet for the Otters in their 11-try romp.

Jonathan Rogers kicked seven conversions and Ianto Griffiths two.

Kaden Davies scored for Ystalyfera, converted by Cellan Carter-Jones.

Second-placed Brecon remain 12 points back with a game after they recorded a 26-17 bonus-point victory over bottom side Tata Steel – who are still yet to win a league match this season.

Osian Davies, Sam Jones and Tom Richards were the scorers for Brecon – who were also awarded a penalty try. Dion McIntosh added two conversions.

Llangennech were comprehensive 67-14 home victors over Trebanos and are a point further back in third.

Gareth George helped himself to a hat-trick while Willis Wood, Harrison Button and Kalum Evans bagged braces with Jordan Saunders and Tom also going over. Osian Evans kicked six conversions.

Iestyn Lewis scored twice in reply for Trebanos, both converted by Rhys Harris.

In Championship East, current leaders Met racked double figures on their way to a 66- 15 defeat of Rumney.

Wing Jake Thomas ran in a second half hat-trick with Evan Sheldon, Porter Goodrum, Ardal Yallop, Liam Sullivan, Elijah

Evans, Maxime van Hilst and Mike Hansen also on the scoresheet.

Bargoed were 36-34 winners at St Peters and remain a point behind with two games in hand. Jordan Howells scored twice with Lewis Robey, Keegan Bale and Morgan Powell also scoring. Josh Prosser kicked a penalty and four conversions.

Bedwas completed a league double over Ystrad Rhondda as they left Gelligaled Park with four more points following a 17-15 win.

Matthew McGovern scored twice for Newbridge in their 38-33 success at Treorchy.
