RATU VAKALUTUKALI led the team out as captain on his 150th appearance for Taunton and his motivation gave the players a real belief in themselves.

From the start, Taunton attacked the Plymouth line, and from a fourth penalty to the Titans, the ball found Elvis Taione who used his power and pace to drive through.

The lead did not last long, with Jenson Boughton scoring for Albion, before Pita Ratukadreu and Thomas Putt also crossed to give Plymouth the upper hand.

In reply, Gregory Kitson scored for the Titans, with Francisco Diaz-Dart converting, with star man Luke Bralsford then driving through for big Sam Leworthy to crash over and give Taunton the half-time lead.

It took 62 minutes before the hosts extended their lead when Taunton winger Noah Fenton broke the deadlock by crossing for his 17th try of the season.

But just five minutes later former Taunton player Hallam Chapman scored, and Putt converted to level the scores.

This may have been a fair result. But with nine minutes remaining, Fenton scored yet another try for Taunton and, press as they may, Plymouth were unable to find a way back.
