CHINNOR maintained their top-of-the-table challenge with a comprehensive victory.

The started strongly and took the lead with a Charlie Myall try following a break out wide from Nick Cairns.

The visitors responded well and levelled when Josh Gillespie sliced through off a scrum play.

Chinnor took the lead midway through the first half when Morgan Passman crashed over, but a Dan Lewis penalty kept the home side in touch.

Their lead was extended when ConorTerrah Brockshmidt scored, but the Lions reduced the deficit to just four points at halftime following a try by Toby Cousins.

The Lions started the second half on the front foot again and, following a driving maul, the ever-impressive Myall drove for the line but was held up agonisingly short and was then penalised for holding on.

To make matters even worse for the Lions, Chinnor scored moments later when their first visit to the Lions 22 was converted through a driving maul by Fin Theobold-Thomas.

The victory was sealed when another driving maul try was finished by replacement hooker Alun Walker, and a late push -over try, scored by Ryan William, sealed a well-deserved win.
