RICHMOND made it three wins in a row edging Leicester in an entertaining contest.

The visitors struck first, scoring from the kick off when Luke Springs finished following a number of phases.

Lions had the best of the remaining first half minutes, but had to settle for a Dan Lewis penalty.

Richmond's start of the second half mirrored that of the first as they took advantage of a Lions loose kick to put winger James Whitehouse in the corner before extending their lead when Luc Jones crossed to extend the lead to 18-points.

In the face of a large deficit, Lions threw caution to the wind, cutting the gap when Charlie Myall finished his own line break under the posts.

But Richmond hit back immediately as Alex Post went in from distance to secure the try bonus point, which was shortly followed by the result being secured when Ntinga Mpiko crossed.

The Lions responded with tries from Joe Brock and Geordie Irvine, which brought the hosts within reach of two bonus points.

Despite making a line break with the final play of the game Lions were bundled into touch, and were forced to leave the Athletic Ground with empty hands.
