THE first game of the new decade for both teams was a thriller, the home side triumphing 24-22 against an excellent and persistent Clifton team.
On a cold but clear East Anglian afternoon, the visitors went ahead after nine minutes, Sam Harrison finishing off a well worked move with the conversion successfully kicked by Brad Barnes.
Clifton went further ahead after 15 minutes with a barrelling run by No.8 Harry Bate resulting in a penalty converted by Barnes once more.
