ROTHERHAM remain hot on the heels of after they eased past a battling Lymm at Beechwood.

Given Tykes' imperious form – 15 wins from 15 outings – Rotherham knew any slip-up would most likely be fatal to their title aspirations, and they meant business from the outset.

A slick line-out saw the ball moved wide, Richard Hayes teeing up Jack Taylor for Rotherham's opener.

Lymm replied in superb fashion through Pat Jennings just 90 seconds later but from there, the visitors showed the superiority.

Jack Bergmanas rumbled over from a maul, before the same man added a second, assisted by John Okafor.

And they had the bonus-point sealed up before the interval, another maul ending with Harry Newborn claiming the five points.

Hayes added three from the tee to build a 19-point lead for Rotherham at half-time, a professional second half completing the job.

Okafor made a chance for Callum Bustin to claim Rotherham's fifth but just as it seemed Lymm might be overwhelmed, they rallied.

Andrew Williams just got a hand on the ball to dot down from a dink in behind, ahead of Stephen Pilkington claiming the final word.
