CANTERBURY overwhelmed North Walsham in the second half with six unanswered tries to ease to a fourth win of the season.

The half-time scoreline had suggested it could be close, but it was not to be for the hosts after the break.

A Frank Reynolds penalty gave the visitors an early lead and he kicked a second in the 15th minute.

With their strong setpiece, Canterbury dominated territory and possession, but well-organised defence and strong tackling kept them out until Tyler Oliver touched down in the 26th minute, Reynolds converting.

Six minutes later, North Walsham burst into life, slick passing enabling Tawanda Kandemwa to race 40 metres for a try that Ross Magnus converted.

Reynolds and Magnus traded penalties to give Canterbury a 16-10 lead at the break.

Canterbury upped the pace, while North Walsham made too many errors and kept conceding penalties.

Three converted tries – one for James Stephens and a brace for Shay Kerry – took them to 37-10 after 55 minutes. Tries for Alfie Orris, Frank Morgan and Garry Jones followed, Reynolds converting one for 19 points.
