BARNES finished the game as comfortable winners despite a flurry of yellows that left them with just 12 men on the field for a period in the second half.

Four tries in the opening 40 minutes and a dominant performance from their pack meant the game was virtually over by the break.

Barnes hit their straps early, scoring first through Paul Webb.

The Londoners ran rampant, constantly busting the gain-line and dominating the set piece. Cam Roberts dotted down, followed by livewire hooker Ethan Sikorksi after a darting series of offloads.

Webb then got his second four minutes before the half-time whistle to make it 24-0.

The game restarted and two Barnes front-rowers were shown yellows in quick succession Craig Ho for high-tackles, before Ethan Harbinson scored. Another yellow for Miles Lloyd, this time for a technical offence, gave Canterbury a huge opportunity to finally get into the game.

And for a period it seemed like a comeback was on the cards. Tries from Jack Weaver, Cam MacMillan, and Frank Morgan gave the travelling fans some hope going into the final quarter, before a try from Alex McLean-Nelson put the game to bed.
