Opening blast puts Guernsey on the right path

AN early blitz within the first 12 minutes helped ensure Guernsey Raiders were victorious in a compelling clash with Sevenoaks.

A catch and drive try from Tom Ceillam got the game underway in smooth fashion for the hosts as they utilised their forward might.

Minutes later Callum Roberts gathered a chip and chase to add another try to Guernsey's lead.

Charlie Simmonds' dart through fooled the Sevenoaks defence on his way to the line for the hosts next score.

Sevenoaks regrouped with a catch and drive try from Charlie Galligan.

Guernsey soon followed suit with a similar try from Hugo Culverhouse.

Sevenoaks finished the half with a well run-in try from Finley Davenport.

A Ben Adams penalty ensured the visitors ended the half positively.

Sevenoaks drew first blood following the interval with another penalty from Adams.

Eventually Raiders gained the momentum with two tries, as replacement James Burger drove over before a swift score from Sam Boyland.

Sevenoaks clawed back with a break away try from Josh Livett and another Adams conversion, however Guernsey finished off the game with a penalty from fly-half Dan Rice, putting the game beyond the visitor's reach.
