WASPS boss Lee Blackett applauded man-of-thematch Alfie Barbeary for his superb display.
“You could see what he was made of today,” he said about his fit-again forward who must be a contender for a place in the England squad to be announced next week.
“I still think there is loads for Alf to improve, but he is already delivering on his potential.
Blackett said the way his young team had handled the problems of going down to 14 men had impressed him the most.
