Named as England's Man of the Series in the 2014 , he then suffered a serious leg injury on club duty but he did return for England at Rugby 2015.
Morgan has started all eight of Gloucester's encounters so far this season, and is currently in the England squad training for the autumn internationals.
“It's great to be part of this club, and it's my local club that means a lot to me. I'm absolutely over the moon to sign a new deal.
“I grew up supporting Gloucester, and it is a special place to play. It helps to have that desire and passion for the club, and the feel of the community at this club is a big thing for me, and a big part of my decision to continue at the club,” said Morgan.
Director of Rugby David Humphreys added: “Ben expressed his desire to stay at the club, and we're thrilled that we were able to agree a new deal which will hopefully see him continue to develop even further in a Gloucester shirt.
“We feel that the back row is an area of strength for us, and with the addition of Carl Fearns for next season, Ben will be a key part of that unit bringing real leadership skills to the group.”
Morgan has followed in the footsteps of Billy Burns, Henry Purdy and Willi Heinz who all re-signed with the club earlier this week.
