As revealed in The Rugby Paper on August 14, Bath have brought in Leroy Houston on a short-term deal.
The back-rower left the Rec in the summer, having agreed a move to the Reds with the hope of furthering his international career with Australia, however now the Super Rugby season has finished, Houston has been released to join his old Club until the end of October.
It is a timely boost for the West Country side who have Taulupe Faletau and David Denton sidelined for weeks after picking up a knee and hamstring injury respectively.
Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder commented: “We're very excited for Leroy to be coming back to the Club for a couple of months to give us some cover whilst we have a few injuries, and we're really thankful to Queensland for helping make this happen.
“He's a fantastic character and a brilliant player, and because he knows the place so well, we know he'll settle straight back in and be a real asset for us.”
