Bradley Davies to return to Wales

have confirmed that international lock Bradley Davies will return to next season to take up a national dual contract with the WRU and .
The 29-year-old, who has already won 54 caps for Wales, is keen to further his international career and has earned a central contract with the WRU.
Davies, who had one year left in his contract, arrived at Wasps last season and has gone on to make 37 appearances in black and gold.
He said: “I'd like to thank Dai and the coaching team here at Wasps for the past couple of seasons and in particular Dai, Derek and the Wasps Board for agreeing to release me a year early to return to Wales.
“It is the hardest decision I have had to make in my career, as I have loved my time at Wasps and have really enjoyed being part of a great group of boys here. I have no doubt this squad will go on to win titles in the coming years and it will be hard to leave a club which is on the up. Some people may think I'm mad leaving now given the direction Wasps is moving in, but I feel this is the right move for my family and I at this stage of my career and I am excited about returning to Wales and joining Ospreys.
“My daughter starts school this year and it is important to us as a family for her to be in a Welsh speaking school. I have been lucky to travel the world through international tours and my family has been great in supporting me during that time and during our time in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to move home and for us to be based in Wales near our family. I am fortunate to have been given a central contract by the WRU, which means a great deal to me and will allow me to get the best out of my remaining years in international rugby and playing for Ospreys.
“For the rest of the season my full focus is on Wasps, with an Aviva Semi Final to prepare for, and I will be giving everything to try to help Wasps reach the Premiership Final.”
Wasps Director of Rugby commented: “We will obviously be sad to see Bradley leave as he is a great character to have around the training ground and has played a key role over the past couple of seasons in helping our pack develop a harder edge. His physical presence and work around the pitch has made a big impact for us during that time.
“However, we want to support our players in their international ambitions and understand this will be easier for Bradley back in Wales. It's also a good opportunity for his family to be able to head home and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
WRU Group chief executive Martyn Phillips added: “This is an exciting and important announcement for that is going to benefit the future of our game at both national and regional level.
“It is vital we retain our best talent in Wales but equally the ability to attract players back here is important for the game both on and off the field.
“Together with the Regions we are creating an environment that is attracting players back and it is great to see Bradley returning and join players such as Jonathan Davies and Dan Lydiate who have returned to the Welsh game.”
Wales head coach said: “It is great to see Bradley returning to Wales to play his and to have signed a NDC.  It is important we create an environment that is attractive to our players and I believe with the number of players retained and returning we are getting on the right track.”
