Watson backing struggling Bath mates to prove their quality

Anthony Watson has been forced to watch from the sidelines in recent weeks and the wing reveals it made for tough viewing.
Watson's last club appearance was a try-scoring cameo in the home defeat to at the end of January – and since he has been away with England on duty they have won just one of their five league games.
Sitting ninth two thirds into the season is not where Watson expected to see last season's runners-up but he is confident they will be able to get out of their “rut” sooner rather than later.
Watson told The Rugby Paper: “It's disappointing to see Bath struggle and it is tough to watch when you can't be out on the field and help your mates out.
“I try to contribute as much as I can by encouraging them and sending a few message out but there is not much else I can do unfortunately.
“We're not where we'd like to be. Being in the top four or even the top two is what we were aiming for so it is disappointing to be where we are especially with the quality of players we have in the squad.
“A few games could have gone our way but we ended up losing and it's tough to get out of this rut. Hopefully we can change things around soon.”
Watson is Bath's starting full-back but he has been used on the left wing in the first three games of the Six Nations by new head coach .
A long-term move to the No.15 shirt could better suit his devastating counter-attacking abilities, but the 22-year-old is just enjoying wearing the Red Rose on his chest under the straight talking Jones for now.
He added: “I'm on the wing right now and I'm just enjoying playing for England.
“I'm not thinking about where I'll be playing down the line whether that's at full-back or on the wing. As long as I keep playing for Bath and my country then I'm happy.
“It's great to have a coach that's not going to beat around the bush and will tell you exactly what he wants you to get better at.
“There's no messing around with Eddie. It's clear cut and you know what you have to do to be playing for England.
“In that sense it's very simple for us to then go out there and just play. I have really enjoyed playing under him so far.”
