Leicester win derby against Wasps

Leicester made it three from three this season with a 24-16 win over Wasps in the Midlands derby at Welford Road.
Vereniki Geneva got the ball rolling for the Tigers with a try six minutes in and, although Wasps kicked three penalties through Jimmy Gopperth and Elliot Daly, they took a 13-9 lead at the break as Owen Williams slotted two penalties to go with his conversion.
A third penalty from Wiliams extended the lead before a try on the hour from Telusa Veainu put the game to bed.
Williams kicked a fourth penalty for good measure but Wasps had the last word with Lorenzo Cittadini crossing for a consolation try with two minutes left.
Up in Sale, the Sharks put in a fine performance to beat Northampton 20-13.
Danny Ciprinai put the hosts 6-0 up with two penalties but Stephen Myler levelled the score with two quick penalties just after the half-hour.
Sale led 13-6 at the interval though as Sam James went over for a brilliant solo try and, when Will Addison ran in under the posts just after the restart, they had a commanding 20-6 lead.
