Farrell to miss entire Six Nations

Owen Farrell will miss the entire Six Nations after suffering a knee ligament injury at the weekend.
The England fly-half was forced from the field in the 18th minute of Saracens' 18-6 defeat at Clermont and was seen by a specialist yesterday evening. Investigations revealed he has a high-grade medial ligament strain and will be out for the duration of the Championship.
George Ford, who wore the No.10 jersey for last two autumn Internationals against Samoa and Australia last November, looks set to carry on while Stephen Myler and Danny Cipriani will battle for a place on the bench.
Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: “It's a real shame for Owen that he sustained this injury and we wish him the best for his recovery. We are fortunate to have three other No 10s in the squad in what is a very competitive position and we will look forward to seeing how they go over the Six Nations.”
England start the RBS 6 Nations at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on February 6 and there are also concerns over a quartet of injured players.
Saracens centre Brad Barritt and Leicester lock Geoff Parling are also being treated for knee medial ligament strains, Northampton back row Tom Wood for an ankle injury and Bath centre Kyle Eastmond for a strain to his shoulder.
Lancaster added: “We will continue to assess and treat the other players' injuries and will provide an update at the launch tomorrow.”
