Dream Team: Tim Payne – London Scottish coach and former Wasps and England prop

1. Trevor Woodman – You just have to look at 2003 to see how good a scrummager he was plus he offered a lot around the park. Good balance for a man with very small feet!
2. Raphael Ibanez – The Frenchman was an outstanding player all round and that's why he did so well at Wasps. By far the best hooker I've played with.
3. Phil Vickery – The Raging Bull! Excellent at the set-piece and a great character to have around a changing room.
4. Simon Shaw – A man mountain with surprisingly good feet and hands for his size. He was outstanding for many years in that Wasps pack.
5. Joe Launchbury – He was very young when he first broke through into the Wasps first team but we knew from day one that he'd become an exceptional player. Incredible work rate.
6. Joe Worsley – A tackling machine and the first man on any team sheet. He's becoming a very good coach down in Bordeaux with Raphael.
7. Richie McCaw – You have to have him in there. Far and away the best openside in the world for many years.
8. Nick Easter – The Quins stalwart always gets you over the gainline with ball in hand. His ability to read the game is second to none. He's a good lad to share a room with, too.
9. Rob Howley – Excellent to get the ball away from the breakdown. A great kicker, too, and never gave up as that try in the 2004 Heineken Cup final against Toulouse proved.
10. Alex King – He controlled the game and drove the standards to a high level around him. He's rumoured to leave Northampton and join the England set-up this summer and he'd do a great job.
11. James Simpson-Daniel – Like Jason on the other wing, the former Gloucester star was very strong and very quick. Loves a gamble – both on and off the field.
12. Fraser Waters – My old Wasps mate was tough as nails and loves putting the big hits in defence.
13. Brian O'Driscoll – There's not much I can say about him that we don't already know. Outstanding abilities on the field. We played Leinster away in the Heineken Cup pools back in 2008-09 and he played a big part in them putting a lot of points on us.
14. Jason Robinson – He will beat his man even if you only give him an inch to work with. His footwork was unbelievable just like his finishing skills.
15. Josh Lewsey – He talks nonsense but he was tough as nails as a player. Who can forget that try against France in the opening minutes of the 2007 World Cup semi-final in Paris?
