James Shanahan and head coach James Shanahan have parted company with three games remaining in the season.
The news follows Sunday's 27-16 defeat to which leaves Albion rooted at the bottom of the table.
Graham Dawe will take charge of the team for the remainder of the season.
The statement read: “Plymouth Albion has reached agreement with James Shanahan to release him from his contract. His contract expires at the end of April and for the last three games of the season Graham Dawe will assume responsibility working alongside the other coaches.
“Plymouth Albion thanks James and wish him all the best for the future.”
Peter Vosper, Chairman for Plymouth Albion stated: “Our focus has to be on the future and with a home game coming up on 11th April against the team will need as many Plymouth fans cheering them on as possible”.
