Not a question of if Bristol are promoted, it’s when, says Sean Holley

Sean HolleyHead coach Sean Holley says he feels “no pressure” to get promoted to the this campaign.
Bristol have twice finished top of the table since being relegated from the Premiership in 2009, but haven't managed to negotiate the play-offs.
Multi-millionaire owner Steve Lansdown has financed the signing of Ryan Jones, Anthony Perenise, and Dwayne Peel, among others, for next season, with Bristol eyeing a return to the top-flight.
But Holley, who took over coaching duties at the start of this season under director of rugby Andy Robinson, says Lansdown is far from turning up the heat.
“We don't feel pressure at all – there's no pressure from the board,” said Holley, whose side lead the Championship by three points.
“There are expectations but there are at every club. We've set our stall out and we have a vision. It's not a question of if Bristol go up, it's when.
“If it's not this year we get promoted, then we go next year. We don't take anything for granted. It's a journey and we're well-backed.”
Bristol's opponents in the final four rounds of the Championship – with the exception of Ealing – are in the top half of the table, and Holley knows his side faces potential banana skins.
“We're not kidding anybody,” he said. “We are not over-confident or arrogant. Games come thick and fast.
“We are not talking play-offs, it's the media who are doing that. We've got a tough run in. We are just focusing on being the best we can each game.”
Far from being a distraction, Holley says the club's progress in the British & Irish Cup could hold the key to promotion.
“We're fighting on two fronts and that's keeping all of the boys on their toes,” said Holley, whose side has a home Cup semi-final against on April 4.
“We are slowly progressing and gaining momentum. The things we are working on are starting to bear fruit, but we are under no illusions – there are plenty of things to work on.
“The rugby season isn't an exact science but I think things are going pretty well with this squad. The proof will be in the pudding.”
