We’re right to follow England says Scott Quinnell

Scott QuinnellFormer No.8 Scott Quinnell believes the WRU's decision to resurrect an ‘A' team will help close the gap on the world's best after watching the midweek side humbled 40-7 by the Chiefs.
Quinnell, who won 52 caps for Wales and played on two tours, told TRP: “Bringing back the second team will make a massive difference. That second string side that got beaten by the Chiefs proves that international level and regional club level needs something in between.
“And it is vital to bring that back now, to play against Saxons, or 's A team at least twice a year.
“Look at England, they have won two Test matches in and have sent a strong third string team to and you also have the U20s going well. That's what we need to do.”
Quinnell played for Wales A in 1993 before making his full debut later that year. But the side was scrapped by the WRU's then chief executive David Moffett in April 2002 as a cost-cutting measure.
Players such as Quinnell, , Gareth Thomas, Tom Shanklin and current prop Gethin Jenkins all found their feet for the As before playing at a full international level.
Quinnell added: “Over the past ten years we haven't given players the chance to play rugby between the U20s, regional rugby and international rugby.
“Warren has had a side he is comfortable with over the last eight years and normally a top 23. But the squad below that haven't had rugby exposure to the highest level, and it shows.”
Meanwhile, Quinnell has an idea to stop the problem of prop binding at scrum time. He added: “What we should have is the two props wearing a different band of colour down the side of their jerseys.
“They then bind to that colour of the cotton and if you are not bound to that part, the referee and everyone else can see it.
“International props now  shorten the bind, turn their arm in and the scrum goes down.”
