The 88-Test Welsh Lion will be on the market in the New Year with his reputation as Europe's supreme tighthead enhanced by his destruction of the Wallaby scrum during last month's decisive third Test in Sydney.
Toulouse made what Jones' agent described as a ‘massive' offer two years ago before the player opted to renew his Ospreys contract. With the re-signing of Alun-Wyn Jones their top priority, the region may not be able to afford to keep the other Jones as well.
Jones plans to retire from international rugby at the end of the in 2015 when he will be 34, then devote what's left of his career to club competition. High-class tightheads being worth their weight in gold, even in their mid-30's, Jones  at his best will command offers of at least £350,000-a-year.
